How can I dry out the interior of an insulated travel mug?
Is there any way to get water out of the interior of an insulated travel mug? This is one of those with a stainless steel container surrounded by a see-through acrylic shell with an air space in between. I inadvertently ran mine (a gift with sentimental value) through the dishwasher (even though it says on the bottom “not dishwasher safe”! Duh!) Now it has about a half teaspoon of water in the interior space. Is there any way to get this out with destroying or damaging the mug?

I have had the same problem. On the bottom of mine there was a foam covering that came off after being in the dishwasher. There was a screw there that I unscrewed and was able to let the water out. If you really like this mug, take off the foam and try it. Nothing to loose, right?

Fresh Steamed Chicken
Steamed chicken is a kind of healthy food which is low in moisture and fat. It is high in protein and very popular among pets. It is quite suitable for being used as gifts when training pets. It can make your pet’s teeth and gums strong and clean and prevent from halitosis. Furthermore, it will make your pet feel refreshed after eating it.
In a large stainless-steel frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over moderate heat. Season the chicken breasts with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper and add to the pan. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
The chicken with add the broth, dill, and 1 1/4 teaspoons salt. Bring to a simmer, reduce the heat, and simmer, partially covered, until the chicken is just done, about 4 minutes. Remove the chicken and cover lightly with aluminum foil to keep warm. Set aside the pan with the broth.
Meanwhile, in a large pot of boiling, salted water, cook the orzo for 6 minutes. Add the carrots and continue cooking until the orzo and carrots are just done, about 6 minutes longer. Drain and toss with the remaining 1 tablespoon oil and 1/8 teaspoon each salt and pepper.
In a medium glass or stainless-steel bowl, beat the eggs, lemon juice, and 1/8 teaspoon of pepper until frothy. Bring the chicken broth back to a simmer and add to the eggs in a thin stream, whisking. Pour the mixture back into the pan and whisk over the lowest possible heat until the sauce begins to thicken, about 3 minutes. Do not let the sauce come to a simmer, or it may curdle. Cream of tartar, is it must?
I’m trying to make frosting for a cake and I’m using a recipe from food network.com. Here it is…
2 egg whites
6 tablespoons cold water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions
In a stainless steel bowl, combine the egg whites, cold water, sugar, and cream of tartar in the top of a double boiler. Whisk until smooth. Place over boiling water and whisk constantly or beat with a hand mixer until the frosting is stiff and holds peaks, about 7 minutes. Remove from the heat and whisk in the vanilla. Let cool, whisking often.
Can I use anything else for the cream of tartar?
It’s not absolutely necessary, but it will make your egg whites stiffen faster.
Cream of Tartar is a light acid that helps denature the egg white proteins. While you can beat the crap out of them and get the same result, they’ll fall more easily, and you’ll have to fold them in as soon as possible or they won’t do what they’re supposed to do. It will also take about a billion times longer. Like try an extra 20 minutes or so to get them to stiff peaks.
